Who Are We?

The Modern Testament Community (MTC) is a Dual Mission Ministry committed to driving essential change in the modern world. We tackle today’s biggest challenges through a powerful, necessary combination of action and purpose. This dynamic approach is how we ensure our ministry not only leads with compassion in the area of justice, but also engages the mind through thoughtful dialogue.

Here’s how MTC is making a crucial difference:

We Defend Fundamental Human Rights

Our Mission: Abolition of the death penalty for apostasy—a profound human rights violation—by leveraging scholarly influence and targeted legal action.

We believe that Christian faith must translate into real-world action and justice. This pillar is our commitment to actively defending the fundamental rights of all people. By focusing on advocacy, compassion, and practical support, we demonstrate the love and protective nature of our faith, bringing tangible hope to the most vulnerable among us. We are dedicated to proving that Christianity is a powerful, active force for good in society.

The Freedom of Belief Coalition (FBC) &

 Apostasy Defense Fund (ADF):

The FBC unites people from all traditions—religious, spiritual, and secular—to secure the fundamental human right of freedom of belief by targeting and achieving the abolition of the death penalty for apostasy. The ADF is our dedicated defense program to provide pro bono legal defense for individuals facing apostasy charges in high-risk countries.

Expert Collaboration:

We leverage the combined legal and academic authority of all our coalition partners to create concise, professional legal briefs and white papers. We host private consensus-building sessions (under Chatham House Rules) with scholars, lawyers, and human rights activists from diverse backgrounds.

Rapid Response Hub:

We are committed to publishing a 2-page response and 60-second video within 24 hours of breaking apostasy news, to ensure swift, informed advocacy pressure on key decision-makers.

We Engage the Modern Skeptic

Our Mission: Foster honest, collaborative inquiry into the historical, logical, and moral case for Christian faith, engaging curious atheists, agnostics, and skeptical thinkers through thoughtful digital discourse.

In an age defined by constant questioning and intellectual challenges, simply stating our beliefs is not enough. We meet the modern skeptic not with an argument to win, but with an invitation (Matthew 11:28). Our aim is to collaboratively demonstrate that the very ache for transcendence is best explained and answered by the presence of Jesus Christ, who offers a life of "existential coherence".

Skeptic-First Content Funnel:

We utilize a three-stage digital strategy: 60-second YouTube Shorts (to grab attention), 10-minute videos/podcasts (to build interest), 30–60-minute debates (for deep engagement, featuring atheist co-hosts).

Strategic Distribution:

We engage highly relevant communities (e.g., r/AcademicBiblical, r/DebateReligion, and atheist Discords) with helpful comments, use clear skeptic-searched titles, and host friendly, public conversations with known thinkers.

Theological Edge:

Our approach remains intellectually robust, respectful, and ultimately centered on the claim: faith in Jesus is sufficient.
